About Me

Mirella has a broad repertoire of West- European art songs and operatic aria's, containing Schumann, Finzi, Dvorak, Ginastera, Guastavino, De Falla, Granados, Lorca, Montsalvatge, Guridi, Toldrá, Sor, Fauré, Poulenc, Wolf, Schubert, Schumann, Tosti, Gershwin, Händel, Mozart, Gounod, Purcell, Arie Antiche, Oomen (Dutch composer) and others.Mirella has a voice-guitarduo with the dutch guitarist Robert Bekkers, they often perform in concerts all over The Netherlands. She performed Dido in Dido and Aeneas in France.She takes special interest in Spanish artsong. Mirella attended the Festival Interpretación de la canción Española in Granada, Spain, in July 2008, there she received coachings from Nan Maro Babakhanian, Jose Maria Gallardo del Rey and Jorge Robaina and masterclasses from Anton Garcia Abril, Frank Wallace, Nancy Knowles and Ana Maria Sanchez. In April 2009 she will return to Spain to have private masterclasses with Teresa Berganza.In the Netherlands she is coached by Marianne Blok and Frans Huijts
