Lions, Tigers And Bears

About Me

Following years of writing and performing music in various rock bands, David Stone began to delve into other genres using a midi keyboard and an mbox. His experimentation ranged from a heavy interest in hip-hop to electronic music to the world of music-accompanied spoken word. Finally, after a year or more of moving from sound to sound, a niche finally surfaced. Enter Lions, Tigers and Bears. Rather than playing an instrument for the sake of playing, David began composing music using intentional instrumentation. The music is rooted in classical instrumentation with the incorporation of electronic elements, tribal-sounding beats and meaningful vocal lines. LTB has an energetic, uniform sound with room for original experimentation. And with upgraded equipment and a strong vision, David is defining a style that transcends genres. Now in the spring of 2009, Lions, Tigers and Bears is on the march for exposure. With nearly a full-length’s worth of material in hand and support from a handful of exceptional musicians, LTB is preparing for the launch of its ambitious live show (which involves chamber musicians, percussion and electronic sequencing). LTB is currently booking shows and about to begin distributing a six-song demo for promotional purposes. .. Myspace Layout Generator-Layoutgen.com

Sounds Like: Hear me now, oh sleeping minds- I do not reside inside your thoughts- While you've tried to theorize through lies- You've only told me who I'm not- Lest you forget- I am the Hope you need but lack- For which you try to compensate- But you cannot ignore the motion anymore, oh sleeper- It's time for you to wake... No your ears do not deceive you- Blacklisted words rest on my lips- Desire and truth have taken their cue from them- And they come emerging from the depths- Where they've been suppressed by those afraid to show- They too can hurt sometimes- But motion takes you like a thundering train- From the still of compromise.
