About Me

This message is written on the behalf of Higegakudan:The name "Higegakudan" comes from the many different style of beards that the band members have. "Higegakudan" was created with 9 members, who had been friends for a long time, in 1999 in Sapporo, Japan.@@They started performing as a ska band, with influences from other music styles such as punk, swing, and rock.They first performed in livehouses and clubs. As they gained popularity, the went on a nation wide tour 8 time, and had their own radio show on FM NorthWave, Japan. Their songs are also used in TV commercials. They have risen in popularity in the indie scene to become the No.1 rude-boy ska band in Sapporo.They had a '2003 One Man's Live' in the first Sapporo Hige Festival, and received over 400 fans to the event. The also appeared as a special guest in the 2004 "Rising Sun Rock" Festival.
