My Interests

Quotes about Vicki Psarias:

'I've watched 'Broken' and thought it was beautifully shot and the performances were strong and believable. You did a particularly good job with the children, which is always a difficult area. Shorts are notoriously difficult to tell a story with all its complexities but I thought you did really well. You created the world and introduced me to a different culture. I found it ultimately moving – well done!'
Kay Mellor
(Writer/Director of feature film 'Fanny & Elvis' and creator of 'The Chase', 'Fat Friends' and 'Band of Gold')

'I have really enjoyed working with Vicki. She is a very talented and committed writer/director who is on the up - I like working with new directors and in particular women directors'.
Michelle Collins

'Vicki's great - she is a fantastic director - she has so much energy, she's a really good leader and a great team bulder and motivator - not only has she lots of ability to write and direct but also lots of determination to succeed which is so important'
Crighton Bone
(DP - winner Best Cinematographer at The San Sebastion Film Festival for 'Half Moon and DP of 'I Want Candy'.)

'I was constantly amazed by the production values of 'Broken' - we've had a low loader for a star which some feature films cannot even afford... Vicki is a huge talent whose work is very moving and culturally relevant. I was very impressed by her first film 'Rifts' and am so glad to have had the opportunity to work with Vicki on 'Broken' which I believe will be a great success. She works wonderfully with the actors and has so much vision. I think she will be a huge talent and really deserves to be.'
Peter Polycarpou
(actor De Lovely, Birds of a Feather, Evita)

'Vicki is committed to learning her craft - I definitely believe that with her ability and energy, she will make it in this industry'
Nigel Douglas
(Director of 'This Life, 'Casualty').

'I asked Vicki to open The First Independent Cypriot Film Festival as I feel she is a wonderful spokeswoman for our community.'
Simos Panayi
(organizer of the Independent Cypriot Film Festival)
