Music playlists gone, well well all things come to an end...
-----------------------
PAST: did a lot of different things mostly back in Sweden/Denmark. Had a club (with a couple of creative diehards in Malmö) in our own amazing space for a few years, later joined an established gallery (artist collective: www.rostrum.nu), have had 50+ artshows of my own work (mainly projections/photography), published photos, organized parties and events, photos/graphic/interior designs, travelled some....always music!
NOW: Besides trying to make this a better world for everyone, mostly focusing on projection shows with my on the go lightmobile (that is backpack with computer and projector, smokemachine in my lefthand, bicycle handle in my right. 50 yard cable in my basket, ready to plug in where ever there is electricity. Yes I dream of a solar/wind driven generator to power the lightmobile. Suggestions anyone? Also, I love transforming a dumpy dead backyard into an amazing garden-oasis on a nonexist budget.
FUTURE: Feeling the creative hunger after a long semi-hibernation!
Open for creative ideas and collaborations in the metropolitan area or via the internet. So, why not crawl out of your cave and feel the wind in your face.
If you want to be added (so you can view images etc.), write me a line.
You can view parts of my own stuff in Pics.
Choose song, press "play", right click on "pics", choose "open in new window' so you can hear music while viewing. Yet to locate those rare gems or create my own!Respect that all photos are copyright ©Anna Almquist. Slideshows with homemade soundscapes and moving images will happen, when I find the time to sort through thousands of new images/sounds......
Right now, my focus is on getting organized, cozy in our home and such, that will lead me/us all to a more creative & humane tomorrow.
Today is april 16th 2008. I'm listening to the radio (FM 99.5), once again to the Wintersoldier testimonies. It's been a beautiful spring day this wednesday, but in other parts of this world it's not all sunshine. The US's hands are bloodier than ever. Mine are as well, for not trying harder to stop the madness and for not working harder for positive change.
I ask you, if in doubt why this is urgent, please check these webpages & listen to these statements from people that have firsthand experiences.

If you, after reading/listening, still believe the US armed forces(& allies', hi Denmark!) have any right what so ever to be in Iraq & Afghanistan, I will seriously question the strength of our so called democratic system and everyones right to vote ((are you thinking "oh no, she's become a ranting commie", not at all but if people don't feel a responsibility to examine what they are supporting I just feel kind of pessimistic... psst McCarthy's ghost is hanging over my shoulder)).
I do believe, we all need to realize that these atrocities are only possible with our consent, silence and our taxmoney.
Another day in paradise......I'm overwhelmed too by all the big issues that surround us all but I don't want to give up and sink back in to that familiar bittersweet numbness. Comfortably numb? Not at all, I can't justify it, never really could.
It's time to wake up and smell the coffee and maybe one day be able to, like Agent Cooper say:
that's some damn fine coffee!
-organic & fairtrade that is.... WAKE UP & DREAM!
