I was raised in California (LA, Trinity County) and went to school in Santa Cruz and at SFSU, where I studied music, Spanish, literature and linguistics. My wonderful extended family lives in California and Oregon.I met Mata Amritanandamayi in 1997, and that led to my leaving the USA in August 1999 after teaching middle school (Spanish, ESL, ancient history and language arts) in the SF Bay Area for 13 years.I spent six months in India and Thailand and ended up resettling in Chiang Mai for 5 years, where I taught at Payap University and Nakorn Payap International School.China was the next stop... for 3 and half years, where I worked at Livingston American School.I currently live in Quito, Ecuador where I teach history and Language Arts at Academia Cotopaxi international School.
