About Me

I'm now a robot more than a man. Lost all emotion to parts from Japan and doctors keep squabbling over patents and profits and securing their grants rather than finding a cure. They're studying me instead of my friends 'cause I am a robot and they are all men. With metal parts replacing my skin, can't get no sorrow from a brain IBM. Another dead friend means another layer of skin, and I could have cried when we were both men, but they took that away, and look what they left, a machine with no heart and exhaust on my breath. And you're in the ground and been there for weeks and now I can't hide the rust on my cheeks.

I headed down to Sound Garden today to pick up the new Manowar record, which I passed up for some reason the last time I was there. As I was flipping through the psych section I came across an odd rec...

Northern Lights

Even though I consider myself a fairly big Witchcraft fan (I sacrificed quite a bit of sleep to see them twice when they came through - 100% worth it), I had not heard of a little band by the name of ...

Speedwolf

I was listening to this album the other day thinking this was one of the heaviest records I own. Although I love the debut, this may be my favorite HOF album. I didn't think it could get much better u...

Ballad of Time

Burning Saviours. These guys sound a lot like Witchcraft. Not like one of those comparisons where you hear some band sounds like Sabbath when they really sound like High On Fire (not that sounding lik...

17 day

Paul Chain played guitar in the original incarnation of Death SS. After their split in the early 80s he started a solo project entitled Paul Chain Violet Theatre. He brought the same guitar sound and ...

Scourge

In my college days I was pretty into crust punk. Recently I've listened to some Nausea and Discharge but it's been quite a while since I flipped through my stack of 7"s on Profane Existence, Mass Medi...

Illimitable Nebulae

I've been listening to a lot of vinyl recently, and purchasing a lot as well. I picked up the Electric Wizard albums that were recently re-released on vinyl with bonus 7"s (Electric Wizard and Come My...

Climb the Wooden Hills

My order from Rise Above Records came today. I picked up Witchcraft's new single and a Possessed album that's been 30 years in the making (obviously not the same Possessed as the late 80s Thrash Metal...

Ballad Of Easy Rider

I hit up Goodwill today and happened to be in the right place at the right time to score some records. I was flipping through their usual stock of pre-60s and country LPs and looking over the track li...

On The Mountain At Dawn

I found Om's Variations on a Theme in the used bin the other day. I've been sleeping on this band for a bit because of the length of songs and number of tracks per album (only 3 tracks here). Om is th...
