I've been playing now for about 30 yrs,inspired to play T'bone by a clown in a pointy hat, I never looked back and have been involved in many projects inc' records,t.v, films & shows, many many bands and all kinds of music, never been in a circus though...I am currently 'boneist for....
'Bacalao' (bacalao.co.uk*),a 12 piece, latin show band, we cover traditional south american songs, will get you dancing,... we play festivals, arts centers and anywhere else that can accomodate us.
'Cuatro monos'(myspace*) is a 6piece version of Bacalao and is a more intimate band, we can play smaller venues & for latin dance classes trying to remind people what it's like to dance to live latin grooves.
'The Magic number'(themagicnumber.org.uk*) is a swingband, changeable in size and swings like bollocks, we just made our first album full of proper origional swing tunes, must be heard.
'Baby charles'(myspace*) is a funk soul 8piece just working on second album after a fantastic response to the first one last year which has been released all over the world , very exciting prospects for this year.
I also play in a big new Afro-beat/latino 15piece, 'KalakutaMillionaires'(myspace*) it's come together really quickly and WE HAVE 4 TROMBONES, watch out for us...
'Fanfara'(fanfara.co.uk*)...Well I don't play Trombone in this one, a balcan style 10piece brass extravaganza,I play Helicon ( have a look at the page, it's in my top friends) It's fast and furious, love this band to bits.
I am also playing t'bone for 'Fat 45'(myspace*) the one and only, if you like jump-jive and swinging your shoes off then you should be there.
Also just formed an offshoot band from the Magic number.... 'The Brass Panhandlers'(myspace*)it's filthy-dirty as the name might suggest, oink oink, propper acoustic busking swing.
Oh and I am also lucky enough to get to play with the Dub Masters at the 'Roots Garden'(myspace*)night on a tuesday night at the jazz rooms in Brighton from time to time, it's late but it's a really cool night and I hope to be playing on some recordings with them. Past projects include ,Blue States, Belle and Sebastian, Bazeado, House(movie), 28 days Later(movie), Space Oddity 2000,Blind Date Theme(T.V.) Lost and Found Orchestra (show)..
