the great outdoors, hiking, mountain biking, skiing, rafting, hang gliding, road trips, writing, poetry, music, music, music, loving people, loving God, loving life....each and every minute of it.
Those that laugh and love and live with all that they are. Those that aren't afraid to take chances, and those that are afraid but take them anyway. Those that love with abandon and are willing to give more than they receive. Those that can find beauty in the broken, peace in the dark, and hope in the heaviness. Those that seek to grow more daily but are not defeated by the days when they don't. Those that are strong enough to admit when they are weak, dedicated enough to press on when dreams feel distant and compassionate enough to look for ways to serve rather than be served. Those that know who they are and who they desire to be and realize the difference between the two. Those that are not afraid of doing what the world may deem as foolish if it means being true to who they are meant to become. Those that can laugh at themselves. Those that can see the world in wonder and be moved by the ordinary. Those that realize that they are broken and seek to love a world of other broken people. Get Your Own! | View Slideshow

there are so many categories that i have to break it down by different movies, emotions, and seasons of life to sum up my favs. there are the movies that comprised my childhood -- anne of green gables, flight of the navigator, big, and the star wars trilogy. the movies that made me want to fall in love -- while you were sleeping, shakespeare in love, notting hill, and the notebook. the movies that make me laugh out loud -- napolean dynamite, waiting for guffman, zoolander, and office space. and the movies that are so epic and bigger than life that they make you want to do something extraordinary -- lord of the rings, braveheart, dances with wolves, and even a little film called the incredibles.
i rarely watch tv but when i do, i love reruns of friends, seinfeld and sex in the city. and i am starting to think that gray's anatomy is pretty darn good even if i do have to turn my head every time they show blood.

my little borther, jaime. if you have ever met him, there is no need for me to explain. and if you haven't, he is a man who is full of life and hope and courage and faith. he is a man who has endured hardship and yet lives his life with a pure and simple joy that radiates from his very soul.
