The moon will NEVER be in the same place in the sky except once ever 19 years. 19 solar years equals 1 lunar year, which is called a Metonic cycle.
What does this little astronomy lesson have to do with Acid? Well, Acid music first caught on and became wide spread around 1988. The moon is in exactly the same place in the sky now that it was when Acid music became popular. History has a tendancy to repeat itself every 19 years: 2007 has seen a MAJOR resurgence of Acid music, and is one Metonic cycle away from 1988. (19 years prior to 1988 saw the peak of Acid Rock. Political circumstances have even been very similar in each of these 3 times!) The Acid Elf leads the way in the New resurgence of Acid music in this Metonic cycle!
This album is made with analog hardware synths and drum machines only. It's TB-303 heavy, and the leads are all done with the big vintage monster analog ARP Odyssey synth. The Metonic Cycle LP is the true Acid energy and Spirit, presented in accordance with the real natural cycles of Acid!
