Which Hogwarts house will you be sorted into?
I am an artist and, at one time, my main medium was cold-forged wire jewelry. It has been described thusly, "...Her work, with its timeless spirals and whorls, has been described as cross-cultural, harkening back in time to the ancients, and hinting at the 'Oneness' which connects us all. It imparts to its wearer a sense of confidence, power, and a link to the Goddess energy that unites the sisterhood of all women. Alyson's work has been featured in the Sunday Style section of the San Francisco Chronicle, and many local peformers have sought her out to create dazzling, one of a kind pieces to complement their costumery." Even though I still make custom pieces for a few certain lucky individuals (and myself), after fifteen years, I feel like I have reached the pinnacle of what I was able to do with that medium, and so, rapidly became bored with it.My endeavors into fine art range across the board, from formal paintings on canvas to mixed media collage. Only recently have I taken up cartooning as a creative outlet. I really like cartooning. It combines two of my favorite things... art and comedy. I like to think I'm funny. My friends egg me on, so either they're all getting a big laugh at my expense, or I really do make them laugh. I have been published in the online 'zine Glided Serpent. (www.gildedserpent.com) and in Alexandria's "Belly Dance Comix".I love dogs, and have a beautiful little one named Savannah. She's a Basenji. She's quite the comedienne herself, and some days she makes me smile when nothing else could.
