My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Sue Quin-Vocals - guitar- piano - songwriter
Influences: Singer songwriters mostly - in the early days it was Cat Stevens, followed by James Taylor, Carole King, Carly Simon, and Joni Mitchell. Vocal bands like The Eagles, Crosby, Stlls and Nash, the Beach boys and the Mamas and the Papas instilled a great love for harmony and blend. Bonnie Raitt, the Doobies, Steely Dan,Stevie Wonder, Janis Ian, Lowell George, Paul Simon, more recently Shawn Colvin and all the above have been an inspiration and influence to my writing. There is nothing quite like a great song, sung with passion, feel and emotion. My brother Paul Quin, who is an endless source of encouragement and inspiration, lives in Florida USA ,for sending me endless great tunes from the States, especially when he feels I need something new to listen to! He's a great drummer, one of the great lovers of good music and musicianship who also happens to be a great lawyer. Also my sister Anne who taught me to sing harmony - when I was about 4 - and a few years later how to play the guitar and was my first songwriting critic. My children too, are my greatest fans and hardest critics. I am always touched and inspired by writers and musicians who create beautiful sounds and lyrics that connect to the soul.
Sounds Like: Bonnie Raitte, Joni Mitchell, Carol King and Shawn Colvin
