About Me

My name is James Auwarter. I am an Engineer/Producer/Song Writer. While I've recorded and been a part of a lot of "major label projects," the songs posted here and a lot more personal and in depth on my part. The songs posted are all songs 100% produced, recorded, mixed, and some of which I have also written and/or performed on. I come from an extremely diverse background in music, so my work's genres are all over the place from rock to rap to gospel to jazz, etc. I have 3 new ones about 80% done that I'll post soon.
I love working and developing new bands/artists in the recording process as much as I love producing my own tracks. The end goal with my own tracks is to get them placed to bands, movies, soundtracks, tv, etc.
As far as these tracks go, here's some info...all of them are final mixes, but none have been mastered....none of my tracks posted here were written as a band, but rather written as an individual, and then recorded/produced/etc to completion by myself...........I love hearing feedback on my songs, so definitely let me know what you think...
--The first song, Jon Guerra's "Before You Go," is one of a few recent songs we've done together in this style of production. They're all 100% written and performed by Jon, but we've been doing them kind of stripped down to just basic acoustic guitar and vocal, and some with piano and b3. Because of his ridiculous amount of talent, 1 song from record to final mix is typically about an hour and a half (incredibly fast by any standards). I've been producing, recording, and mixing these "acoustic demos," but the prettiness of the sound and songs is not an inherent Jon Guerra characteristic. The talent in these songs definitely speak for themselves, but we do plan to do a full production album in the near future that will be a complete true representation of everything that is his artistic direction.
--"MAK" is pretty epic. I wrote, produced, recorded, mixed, sang, etc on this one. My dude Jon Guerra is singing all the crazy badass high parts. Matt Walker (smashing pumpkins' "adore" album drummer) is playing drums on this one.
--"This City" is pure beauty. I produced, recorded, and mixed this, while my boy Danye from the old Hinge Crew wrote, plays acoustic and sings.
--"Smile" is a track I produced, recorded, and mixed...all players are guys from the studio. I did this one a long time ago, good track though.
--"Reggae Jammin" is a jam I had been workin on on and off for a long while...world class drummer Ernie Adams playing on it.
