Day by day artists come and go throughout the constantly changing hip-hop scene. Whether it be for that one radio single,or just for the simple fact that hip-hop lacks creativity and originality nowadays. Turn on your radio and you'll hear the same bulls**t being said over and over again... money, girls... a couple decent punchlines if you"re lucky?But then there were "The Freshmenz" est.2002 An unusual mixture of 2 young artists with wordplay that would make you question if they're really only sophmores (ironically) in a city with barely, if any at all, hype to back their name up. As for the artists themselves we could start with Future. A young, often "outspken" kid born in Miami, Florida. But don't let the looks fool you. Obsessed would be an understatement for the kids passion to write what you like, but moreso what you NEED, with a lesson behind every lyric begging for you to look deeper into the business brainwashed music we once called hip-hop. As for the other half , but none the less is Mike Saint. Born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The fifteen year old kid with a mind as genius as a young artist could ever imagine. In common with his partner in rhyme, concept never seems to slip the kids lyrics. But along with the concept came creativity. Gifted with the ability to "say something" with the music, they never lacked the once optional, but now necessary "talent" to make that hit track that radioheads fiend for. With history between the two going back to 4th grade, mostly consisting of nothing BUT music, the two young talents quickly grew as a group. With the disadvantange of being placed in a highly stereotyped area (The South) The Freshmenz used concept and creativity to their advantage. What began as a slow grind quickly turned into an all out "dream" that the two were determined to fufill in the near future. The name represents their standing in the freshman class of the "New School". Where being different is fitting in. They create that "real, imaginative, true life sh**" !!! For the kids who just wanna dance, to the struggling kid just looking for a little sign of hope, even to that dude that just rides round' the city with nowhere to go (Drive Slow.) All in all...We make music for the people...
