Ferreri Flavio

Flavio Ferreri nato a Roma il 9 ottobre 1989, inizia i suoi studi di sassofono all’età di otto anni sotto la guida di vari maestri di musica. Già alla giovane età di dieci anni inizia a distinguersi in numerose interpretazioni affiancando diversi gruppi musicali Jazz. Debutta in pubblico all’età di undici anni tenendo il suo primo concerto il 23 dicembre 2000, interpretando alcuni pezzi celebri Blues Americani. All’età di dodici anni partecipa al suo primo concorso presso la provincia di Roma “Scuola……Sound’s Good” organizzato nei giorni 8-9 e 10 maggio 2002 dal IX distretto scolastico di Roma, conseguendo il 1° posto assoluto. Il 22 giugno 2002 partecipa al 1° concorso nazionale “Note D’oro” di Sora (Frosinone) conseguendo il 1° posto assoluto, una borsa di studio e la partecipazione ad un corso di improvvisazione jazzistica tenuto dal maestro Daniel Moretti, professore alla Berklee College of music di Boston (USA). All’età di 12 anni inizia gli studi di conservatorio presso il conservatorio di S: Cecilia di Roma. Diplomato in teoria e solfeggio, e pianoforte complementare, frequenta attualmente il 7° anno di corso per sassofono, sotto la guida del maestro Alfredo Santoloci. Ha tenuto recentemente con il gruppo musicale “Blu Quartet” formato con il fratello Marco, pianista, numerosi concerti Jazz nei vari comuni del Lazio, tra cui il più prestigioso al festival di Atina Jazz il 24/7/2005, conseguendo il prestigioso premio “Lazio Jazz”. L’affermazione più importante la consegue alle selezioni per entrare a far parte dell ”Orchestra di Domani” di Domenica In, condotta sul canale TV di Rai uno, da Pippo Baudo con il Maestro Pippo Caruso. Per l’occasione sono stati chiamati in qualità di giuria, tre famosi sassofonisti di levatura internazionale, Gianni Oddi, Sandro Deidda, James Senese, che hanno decretato, dopo una selezione nazionale, Flavio, vincitore assoluto, quale migliore sassofonista under 16, nel corso della trasmissione televisiva di “Domenica In” svolta il 5 febbraio 2006. Ha suonato presso “La Casa del Jazz” di Roma a seguito del corso di alto perfezionamento jazz “Roma jazz’s cool” edizione 2006 organizzato dal “Saint Louis college of music”. Suona a “Latina jazz festival” nel gennaio 2007. Entra a far parte del "SAXESEMBLE del Conservatorio S.Cecilia" suonando il 24 maggio presso la Sala Accademica del conservatorio S.Cecilia. Vincitore assoluto del concorso "SAX COMPETITION" di Lazio jazz organizzato dal Latina Jazz Club nel dicembre 2007. Costituisce nel settembre 2008 il suo gruppo Flavio Ferreri quartett con la collaborazione di altri tre giovani musicisti: Enrico Zanisi (pianista), Jacopo Ferrazza (contrabassista), Valerio Vantaggio (batterista). Ha suonato con diverse formazioni per concerti jazz e con musicisti già affermati come Patti Wicks, Giorgio Rosciglione, Davide pentassuglia, Riccardo Biseo, Andrea Romanazzo, Lucio Turco, Giovanni Sanguinetti, Giovanni Gullino.

June 22 nd 2002 participates in the 1° national contest “Notes Of gold” of Sora (Frosinone) achieving the 1° absolute place, a scholarship and the share to a course of jazz improvisation held by the teacher Daniel Moretti, teacher to the Berklee College of music in Boston (USA). To the 12 year-old age it begins the studies of conservatory near the conservatory of S: Cecilia in Rome. Graduated in theory and solfegio and complementary piano, it currently frequents the 7° year of course for saxophone, under teacher Alfredo Santoloci's guide. He has recently held with the musical group “Blue Quartet” formed with his brother Mark, pianist, numerous concerts Jazz in the launchings common of the Lazio, among which the most prestigious to the festival of Atina Jazz 24/7/2005, achieving the prestigious prize “Lazio Jazz.” The affirmation most important it achieves it to the selections to enter to make part dell” Orchestra of Tomorrow” of Domenica In, conducted on the channel TV of Rai one, from Pippo Baudo with the Teacher Pippo Caruso. Winning absolute of the contest "SAX COMPETITION" of Lazio jazz organized by the Latin Jazz Club in December 2007. It constitutes in September 2008 his group Flavio Ferreri quartett with the collaboration of other three young musicians: Henry Zanisi (pianist), Jacopo Ferrazza (bassist), Valerio Vantaggio (drummer). He has played with different formations for concerts jazz and with musicians already affirmed as Pacts Wicks, George Rosciglione, David pentassuglia, Riccardo Biseo, Andrew Romanazzo, Lucio Turco, Giovanni Sanguinetti, Giovanni Gullino.
