Maryam Toumrai is an Iranian-Canadian Vocalist. She has a versatile singing voice and style that serves her to express her experiences in life. She has received extensive training in Bel Canto and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Arts from York University, with a focus on Music and Theatre.One listener has said of her voice: “She does the melting of her heart to a song very well”. Wholenote Magazine, in its April 2008 issue said of her singing: : "Maryam Toumrai is another fine example of what the world has to offer..." She is the first female vocalist of Iranian background to be featured on CBC Radio morning show that was broadcast in Ontario, Canada in June of 2007.She is also the first Toronto based Iranian vocalist whose CD was reviewed in Wholenote Magazine. Elle a une voix et un style chantant variés qui elle sert exprimer ses expériences dans la vie. Elle a reçu l'entraînement vaste dans "Bel Canto" et est diplomé dans les Arts Créatifs de l'Université de York, avec un foyer sur la Musique et le Théâtre. La Revue de Wholenote, dans 2008 avril a dit de son chanter : : « Maryam Toumrai est un autre bien exemple de ce que le monde doit l'offre. ..” Elle est le chanteur premièrement femelle iranien être présenté sur le spectacle de matin de Radio de CBC qui a été diffusé dans Ontario, Canada au mois de juin de 2007.
