Poetry & Motion

I have been involved in the poetry scene in west midlands since 1992 Before that and since I have been involved in a number of musical ventures which has brought me into contact with musicians of diverse musical styles and expertise. In recent years I have been a regular performer at Birmingham’s arts fest as well as a number of poetry based nights e.g. 1st Wednesday the drum , 3rd Thursday canal side café , dada mutton wah / lexicon various venue’s around west midlands,I am currently promoting myself as a multimedia poet using written & spoken word as well as visuals in the form of films (films incorporate CG & stop frame animation, pictures, live and acted footage, some clips from archive TV & film, to date all sound tracks have been created for the film’s)At present I have been asked to perform poetry between bands (various types) at festivals, exhibitions, poetry nights, schools, colleges, aid’s awareness/benefit, antigun benefit gigs. My written work can also be found on the net on various websites, as well as being featured in various fanzines.In the future you may be able to find my work on an interactive DVD with subtitles sign language and maybe even special features on the construction of a film or poem.I also hope to get bigger budgets to be able to afford a film set, crew & actors.I feel that it is important as a creative artist, I have the same opportunities to present my work to as wide an audience as someone employed by a large corporation. And wherever needed the voice of the everyday individual is given an equal the chance to be heard
