Moonrider was born in Virginia but spend most of his life in the Southwest , something that reflects in his music greatly as some of his songwriting definitely leans toward a country western sound in many of his songs while others retain a very classic Roots music vibe that recall sounds of an era forgotten by many in a world full of technology driven overproduced music. Enter producer extraordinaire : Herbwolf , who's production style owes more to George Martin than Mutt Lange. A self proclaimed minimalist born in the heart of the Real South. He spend most his younger years performing recording and producing in a host of great bands in the Detroit area during the early 90s. The songs are a refreshingly honest and heartfelt affair with very personal and open lyrics that are all rooted in lifetime experiences, a clear example of this is a song called Brother Don, The story behind it, is a rather sad one but it must be told as it is the way Moonrider chose to deal with the untimely passing of his brother to the hands of a cold blooded Murderer, who is at this very day facing seven different charges related to his actions on this case.
