ACE'S has been around for many years located right in the heart of Johnstown, PA. Johnstown is noted for two horrific floods, its hystoric steel mills, and one hysterical movie...SLAPSHOT. Slapshot, the hockey movie featuring Paul Newman and the short tempered Hanson brothers, was released in 1977. The film was shot all over the city streets and inside many of the local businesses including scenes which were shot right inside Ace's! Ace's is mentioned all throughout the movie as the hot spot, hometown hang out for the hockey team.
From movie sets, to weddings, to nationally touring concerts we move to the present day. Ace's works with FIFTH MEMBER PRODUCTIONS and together they continue to bring in some of the best touring national acts to Johnstown. Currently we have had such bands as Dope, The Autumn Offering, Bobaflex, Marc Rizzo (Soulfly, ex-Ill Nino), Flaw, SOiL, Ankla, Seemless, Diecast, Silent Civilian, Ligion, Egypt Central, and the list continues to grow! ACE'S features the area's biggest stage measuring more that 25 feet wide, 4 feet high and over 16 feet deep. The stage also featues a large drum riser and a booth for a light tech.
