About Me

After 20 years of faithful service, Peter Sundell left Grand Illusion in May of 2005. He simply felt it was time for a change. As luck would have it, Torben Enevoldsen contacted Peter soon after his departure and DECOY was born.
In December of 2005, Torben started writing the new material. The style came to be very melodic hard rock, with a slight touch of prog and metal.
Peter received a demo of the first 3 songs in late March 2006, and was immediately taken by the material.
By the end of April , Enevoldsen had completed writing all the songs.
Apart from all the guitars, Torben also did the bass. All he needed now was a drummer. Enevoldsen decided to ask an old friend of his to play the drums. Formerly in Torben’s all instrumental band, Thomas Heintzelmann jumped at the chance of working with his old friend again.
Guitars, vocals and bass were recorded at Torben’s own studio Funny Farm Studios. The drums however, were recorded at Plugged-In Studios. The completed production was mixed by Enevoldsen at Funny Farm Studios and mastered by Torben Lysholm at Tune Town.
The debut album, entitled Call Of The Wild, will be released April 27 on the AOR Heaven label.
