I am probably the best door handles designer ever- well I know I am the most innovative and the best looking....www.freegodesign.com )and jewelry formerly Brass Tribe , then GNG and now.... brand new CAST-ITA JEWELS, check www.myspacer.com/castitajewels......Before being a "designer" I have been studying sociology focusing on communication between young people in clubs,(what I was definig patchwork generation)and after graduating, thanks to Maria Teresa Torti (I'll never be able to thank her enough for her friendship and everything I learnt from her),I have been working for the University of Genova as a researcher on a project sponsored by CNR (NationalResearch center) which involved the Universities of pisa, genova and bologna,my research lasted for 2 years,and I have been clubbing all around italy and Europe also working as a car driver to my excellent mate and super (tall) dj RobyJ from Thursday nites to monday mornings.I was interviewing all actors involved in the club scene and living the nites as a normal club goer ( my technique was "osservazione partecipante" "participating observation"), the rest of the week I was sleeping or doing whatever is possible to be done in a bed and writing reports for the University.What came out of this can be read on COMUNICARE LA NOTTE by Maria Teresa Torti.When the research was over I have been writing myself and performing with titibi Bale e Polyette Bale a musical for clubs called Biloko (from earth to techno), musics by Robo (roberto bonini) performing with roland mc 303. Biloko was a 15 minutes musical in which senses and emotions were melting together to discover the elements of earth.Biloko was the simple consequence of my studies. Biloko was performed three times only: in Jaiss (empoli) and and paradiso (rimini). In that period I was working on a project called Baburu, it was a special party which had to involve all senses of people in the club, Baburu was supposed to be held at TereViri club , run and own by my excellet friend dj ALDO RE.TereViri was the superb place which hosted the very first afterhour parties in Italy .We contacted Tischy, which had connections with circuses , as Baburu was a patchwork of all kind of bizarre things , people , cultures and emotions.Baburu never came into being ,but Tischy pulled me into LEGEND,which was a mix between a rave party and a Colossal , directed by Philippe Moelhausen.I was engaged as stage director and had to coordinate more then 100 artists performing on the big stage of Forum d'Assago in Milan. All that period was like a dream and like all dreams it came to an end and I had to wake up.In few words, but it actually took me a while, I understood I could express myself as a designer.It came by chance: I was broke and wanted to give Carlotta a present so I carved a boat hatches' handle turning it into a bracelet .That was my very first design.I made some for my friends then made more and more, the starting point was always the handle, the result was an infinite number of different one-off unique bracelets, BRASS TRIBE The idea was simple :we (as human beings) have all the same roots and after all the same "shape" ,the SUPREME DESIGNER knows His Job,, and we defenetly are all unique .I just copied the idea from naure and sculpted hundreds and hundreds. I started travelling selling my jewelry, at markets(and ...well also in the tube in London), the best one was defenetly the Byron Bay market, it was fun.In few years I sold myself thousends of brass tribe bracelets. When 30 I joined my family's company (www.razetocasareto.com ) and started designing door handles.The very first ones were sculptures , each door handle took me 2 days of work, they were terrific (there's a videoclip somwhere on this page)but that was also my first marketing failure.....In 2003 I opened the Innovation and Design section of the company.The first project was free go, (www.freegodesign.com).Free go got a special mention at DAME AWARD in Amsterdam,the Platinum ADEX AWARD (Award Design Excellence)in the U.S., and was shortlisted at INDEX:AWARD , design to improve life, in Copenhagen (www.indexaward.dk).Free go is now on a world tour with Index till 2009.Now, apart from my work, I practice karate at dojonami :www.dojonami.com ,I am semiprofessional beach goer, I love boating, travelling for business and pleasure.I like to disturb my neighbours playing my groove box at night,as a result my neighbours hate me but I have the biggest house in the building so I'm kinda little boss. I have great plans for my future but they are constantly evolving and changing, changes are welcome in my life. I have a dwarf rabbit and a wife (well ...) sometimes I am curious and sometimes I am very superficial. I also am co-founder of ALBERTI BROS CINEMATIC PRODUCTION, a new ,fresh company in the show biz, you are going to hear of quite soon. DO IT! and .....overall.......
