"PROCESS- Laboratory of Intuition" is an ensemble of improvisers founded by Rafal Mazur in 2004. In addition to artistic activity, members are engaged in a theoretical investigation of intuitive improvisation, particularly focusing on the problem of ensemble activity. Issues of inquiry are presented on the group’s website in the “Library” section. PROCESS is further engaged in the promotion of improvised art in Poland.

Rafal Mazur is an author of interactive lecture “Ensemble as a system –how is possible collective improvisation” in which he presented principles of creation in improviser’s, condition of collective improvisation ensemble in paradigm of “free imrpovised music” and mainly asumptions of transidiomatic aesthetic. During the leacture is presentation of activity in ensemble of improviser’s with part of members of PROCESS.

The first appearance of PROCESS was at “La Notte Bianca” in Rome in 2004 performing the audiovisual work “DECODIV/PROCESS”.

PROCESS is organizes “Meeting of Improvisers” – Festival of Improvised Arts, the first edition of which took place in Krakow in 2007.
