Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on the 16th of June, Ñeco as his loved ones often call him, learned the language of music at an early age. Music was always present in his family. His mother was a singer, at the age of seven, her and his father enrolled him at the famous Juan Morell Campos Music School in Ponce, and for the next nine years, Ñeco mastered music theory and classical piano, as well as vocal training, while performing in several concerts and talent shows around Puerto Rico. In his late teens, he developed a strict discipline, practiced piano for four hours daily, and began composing and arranging his own music. Later, he would discover his tremendous lyrical and vocal abilities as well as his guitar skills after long nights of playing “parrandas†throughout the years in Christmas. Renaldo is graduated from Full Sail Center for the recording arts in 1998, a world-renowned school for audio engineering, film and video production and multimedia, after completing his studies in Film and Video Production and Recording Engineering.During the periods of 1997 to 2000, Ñeco worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Celine Dion, Ricky Martin, Steven Spielberg, Garth Brooks, Depeche Mode, Universal Studios, Enrique Iglesias and most recently at Discovery Channel Latin America in different aspects of the entertainment & broadcasting industry. He has also collaborated with legendary percussionist Giovanni Hidalgo (Planet Drum w/ Mickey Hart), composing the song La Perla for the Hidalgo/ Humberto Ramirez album, Best Friend, in which the late Tito Puente, as well as Oscar Cartaya and Papo Lucca participated. This helped him get a membership in the world-renowned ASCAP, American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.As a singer/songwriter & producer ,his music couples soulful Latin reggeaton & R&B hooks with sultry romantic / pop urban vocals about stories that surround him. Throughout his life, almost since birth, he learned to appreciate all styles of music, Spanish or in English. His mother encouraged him at an early age, to appreciate the message and the context of the lyrics as well as the importance of the music. For the past few years, he’s been mostly influenced by Reggeaton, R&B and Latin Pop, as well as the variety of music from his native Puerto Rico, such as salsa, latin jazz, reggeaton, and the parranda music heard in christmas.Boasting a catalog of over 600 songs under his Ñecomusic Publishing / WB Music Corp., Ñeco remains an artist, exploding with talent, deeply committed to his craft.
