"Some might consider Brockton, MA the “Birmingham U.K.†of New England. In a seedy rat hole of a rehearsal studio that I spent many years in, rock bands were a dime a dozen. One night stumbling around the hallways I was stopped in my tracks to what I thought was Brian May himself playing….a crunching Marshall stack firing the classic riffs of Brighton Rock with ease and ferocity. It didn’t take me long to find the culprit was Mike Mooney. There and then in nineteen seventy nine, I recognized a guitar force to be reckoned with.
Over the years I’ve been asked; “do you get nervous before a gig?†The answer has always been a consistent “No†for a simple reason. The guys I get on stage with are seasoned, tough and confident.
