"Rock Point" is an extremely suspenseful, on-the-edge-of -your-seat adventure that takes the whole audience on a trip of no return…
“In 1750 Missionary Indians revolted against the Spanish. The Spanish killed the Indians and exiled the remaining few to a place called Rock Point.â€
Based on true events.
“ON MAY 11, 2003, FOUR MEMBERS OF THE GRANVILLE COLLEGE WOMEN’S SWIM TEAM WENT FOR A DAY TRIP TO ROCKPOINT...â€
“...THEY WERE NEVER SEEN AGAINâ€
Kaliope, Heather, Mary and Hanna have just won the regional swim championship for the 4x100 relay race. Coach Donahue has been driving the team too much. After a particularly grueling morning workout, the four swimmers decide to go for a day trip and “forget everythingâ€.
The four swimmers could not be more different. Kaliope is smart, captivating, and dedicated. Heather is blonde, beautiful, and ambitious, just like her mother, and resents Kaliope. Hanna is the innocent one of the group; she seems carried by an inner light and has a deep affection for Kaliope. Mary is the eccentric, introverted one who marches to the beat of her own drum.
The girls drive up the coast and arrive at a strange, deserted town. After an odd run in with a family of creepy convenience store owners, the swimmers head to a secluded beach where they decide to race to an island that they can see from the shore; the island of ROCK POINT.
This is where the innocent afternoon becomes a nightmare. Where "Deliverance" meets "Jaws" with a supernatural twist, these four swimmers will have to face death on land AND in the water. Stuck on this haunting, jagged rock island, they witness Mary being violently pulled down into the dark ocean. What lies beneath the water attacks and devours two surfers who try to save them. The island becomes just as dangerous as what resides in the sea below. The remaining three swimmers must decide to swim back to shore or take their chances on the island until the sun comes up. WHAT SHOULD THEY DO?!
With every last effort, their all is not enough...
