About Me

The town of Salinas, California has little treasures. Leaving Ground being one of the easier finds. In a Bay Area full of full-gutter rolling vocals, Leaving Ground stands out. Combining grunge wrasp and serenading vocals with whatever sounds they manage to come up with or incorporate from their surroundings, Leaving Ground brings new sounds to the Central Coast. Combine, if you will, Alice in Chains with Tool, Dredg and some old-school Blues with Punk. Mix in some worldly sounds and a possitive message of acceptance and you have a relentless driving force in the Bay Area music scene.

Sounds Like: The ocean of your consciousness in the middle of a storm... Late 60s/early 70s psychedelic hard rock (Led Zeppelin) mixed with early 90s blues/grunge (Alice In Chains) with a touch of melodic death metal (In Flames).
