Peter Valis was born and raised in Stamford, CT. His long and exciting musical journey began at a young age. Peter found himself very interested in music, performing, and music programming. At twelve years old he made his first mix tape that was so popular amongst his friends, he was forced to make over 20 copies to give out. Using a cassette player and his parents "Oak Boom Box Turntable he created seamless mixes, that were not only on tempo, but also beat mixed! After making countless mix tapes at such a young age, he decided that his love for music and talent at programming would become his life long career. By nineteen, he was spinning and promoting for some of the largest clubs in NY while at the same time producing and remixing House music. As one half of the production duo "RATED PG", Peter has collaborated with superstar artists such as Lionel Richie, Grandmaster Flash, Eros and other industry moguls.Since becoming a DJ/Producer, and Promoter his new dream, goal, and vision was to open his own nightclub. Being a dedicated and goal driven entrepreneur, Peter's dream became a reality when he opened the immensely popular Lava Lounge in 2000. As resident DJ and owner, he ran the club for over seven years while hosting various parties in NYC. Peter always believed in inspiration and challenges. After over 10 years in the nightclub and mixology business as well as other various ventures, he found a new passion for singing. Though this transition came fairly easy for him, he demanded nothing but vigorous training from himself for over 3 years. He has worked with some of the most renowned vocal coaches in the world such as Julie Massino, Lorraine Ferro, and Rebecca Vaccaro. Ammos, Remi, Bungalow, Dream, Kellari, Parea, Platos, and Milos are just a few of the many venues Peter has performed in. His authentic singing style and distinctive voice can be defined as a harmonious fusion of Greek Rock, Pop, and Laiko. Peter is now one of the most popular singers in New York.
