Band Members: Hall of Justice, the first act signed to V69, are from Portland, Maine. Hall of Justice is a Hard Rock/Alternative outfit with heavy hitting music and intense thought provoking lyrics. It seems that their ultimate goal is not rock stardom, but to enlighten people and wake them up and shake them up to the scary reality of the world which we live in today.
Techtonics, an "Elect-dustrial Unit", as they like to be referred to, are from Brooklyn, New York. As one can tell by their self picked genre name, Techtonics mixes up electronica and industrial to make a sound that is sometimes light and trippy, and other times heavy and in your face.
The Cleveland Steamers are a nasty, loud, rude bunch of punk rockers who are now calling Boston their home, although no one is quite sure of where in the world the members of this band of urchins, criminals and drifters are from, everyone can be sure that they mean buisness. Just listen to their first single "Staplehammer". As legend has it this song is based on a true story, so if they come to your town be sure not to piss them off.
Sleeper Hold with members from Britain, Germany, Ireland, Russia and Kentucky is a band that appeals to listeners of psychadelia, accoustic tales of sorrow, and hopeful songs of love. Some members of Sleeper Hold are former members of The Ligers, the fourth band featured here.
The Ligers were a promising New-Wave/Rock group from the U.K. that met its tragic end with the passing of its frontman Lester Shaguna, who's mysterious death is still under investigation. The group was in the studio recording their first single "Forget the World" when Shaguna met his untimely end. Sadly, "Forget the World" is the only known recording ever made by this band.
Influences: All of the bands on this label have many different influeces. From the theme to The Muppet Show, Barry Manillo, Various Music Box Jingles, The Airy Sound of Flatulence, to the howl of the moonlight over an alien planet. There are so many that it wouldn't be worth the time to list them all. Influences aren't important anyway, the proof is in the pudding and we all love stirring the pudding with our fingers (and licking them off when we're done.)
