(Jaded) She created a creature in her mind of the most implausible kind She made him strong, and true and real and imagined kindness she could almost feel She gave him a heart as good as gold and a soul so pure, it would never be sold She fashioned his lips to tell the truth and granted him spirit of timeless youth When he was finished, she kept him sound within her mind to one day be found As the years passed by, her creature faded Her belief in him became weak and jaded Her condition of loneliness fit like a glove She had long since forgotten to believe in love The day that she met him was like any other For she closed her eyes and her heart...
