Time off or time out?

For a lot of musicians, taking some time off the scene, or staying away from the public eye feels like a slow mortifying sort of death. So most of them rarely take any.I can't help but wonder at bands...

Whatever happened to remixing? It has become quite rare to see an artist/a band getting their songs remixed. Strange, since in the 90s, it was all about getting hundred versions of a hit to surf...
