Game Night May 2
Under the artistic direction of Peter Kope and Michele de la Reza, Attack Theatre has been making personal, accessible and collaborative dance-based performances with "ninja-like intensity" (Pittsburgh Tribune Review) for more than a decade. They combine modern dance, original live music, multimedia and interdisciplinary art forms to present work in traditional and non-traditional spaces throughout the United States and around the world.
Gaining national recognition, Attack Theatre was featured in Dance Magazine's "25 to Watch" in 2007, the recent Games of Steel was selected for the prestigious 2006-07 National Dance Project (New England Foundation for the Arts) and appeared in seven theaters nationwide and The Kitchen Sink, the newest production, was chosen as "Best Dance of 2006" by the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.
Attack Theatre's multifarious repertoire includes dance/rock operas, lighthearted duets, and compelling large group works. "Whether it's the original music, dance or theatrical elements that engage most directly," notes the Pittsburgh City Paper, "[Attack Theatre] seems to impart a sense of personal agency and individually meaningful interactions..."
