About Me

I am sick of the northeast not having a decent music festival for our unsigned Indie and Rock n Roll bands!....THATS ALL GOING TO CHANGEThis summer your going to be treated to a great underground event.
This events location is going to be kept a secret until 5 hours before the gig. You will be texted the location via mobile phone.
You will also be updated every month with the bands that are booked to play. To make it a success even the bands won't know the location.
Just know that it will be a great night with live bands, beer and camping plus anything else you might want!
The date of the Event will be the 11th August. You will be texted at 1pm on the Saturday with details.
The first band will start at 6pm and music will go on untill the sun comes up.
We are still working on a few details, like bus's from Newcastle, Sunderland, Blyth, Morpeth and Cramlington.
Texts for the location of the festival will cost a mear £5 and will help pay for the sound and bands. Just think a festival and night out plus bands and camping for less than two pints!
We aren't looking to make any profit out of this event. This will also ensure you get monthly updates to your phone.
We will also be setting up a text service to pay for transport to and from the location.
Make sure you get involved in what is going to be the best festival for years. Stuff those £120 odd tickets to see premadonna's.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

FREE ENTRY, 7pm till 2am, Indie, Alternative, Soul, Rock, Punk. The Quay, Blyth THE MOSAICS (Newcastle) www.myspace.com/mosaicmusic1 The debut E.P 'Runner' was released in December 2005 with critical acclaim from features on North East radio stations Metro and BBC Newcastle. They were selected from a record number of national entries for the 2006 Jack Daniels Unsigned Set, held in London, and came out winners in the event ahead of top unsigned bands from around the UK. Word is definitely spreading fast.....THE PROOF (Newcastle) www.myspace.com/theproof05 the proof come from the strong tradition of British social realism, of the kind embodied in Sixties black and white films by the brooding presence of an Alan Bates or Albert Finney, as their frustrated and, always, Northern characters wrestled with an overpowering sense of misanthropy in a world of scant opportunity and snatched furtive sex, usually resulting in unwanted pregnancy and backstreet abortion. Actually, despite coming from Newcastle upon Tyne, the proof do not sing about any of these things – except perhaps the furtive sex. And they certainly don't consciously hark back to the past in the sepia tones of, say, the Smiths. But, there at the centre of these tightly-wound songs are biting contemporary takes on familiar feelings of being stuck in a small town and desperately needing to find some energy and sense of relief, just to stay alive….Party Animals who love Indie/Rock/Punk/Alt/Soul/Funk, must like live bands, camping and having fun!
