Shawn Trotter

A gifted Canadian musician, Shawn Trotter is an acoustic guitarist whose “new finger style” playing draws accolades from peers and critics alike. His latest CD, From clapboard to Brick showcases his considerable talent both as solo performer and composer. He weaves many influences into a unique and dynamic style: from Celtic to blues and country, to elements of jazz and folk. This hybrid of musical styles is particularly well suited to folk festivals, house concerts and intimate concert settings. A graduate of the music program at Hamilton’s Mohawk College, Shawn Trotter is a full time music teacher, composer and performer.
