About Me

Cheapskate Records is a punk rock record label from Schenectady NY. We've been around since 1998 and will continue to put out good punk rock albums for many years to come.
OUT NOW!:
CSR001 V/A "How To Stretch A Dollar" compilation CD $4ppd - This is the first CD Cheapskate Records ever put out and it came out way back in 1998! Even though most of the bands have broken up it's still appealing to newcomers. Features bands like Skabba The Hut, The Carpet Patrol, B. Lee Band (features members of Skankin' Pickle and Less Than Jake), Lounge, The Assmen, and more. It's worth the four bucks, I swear.
CSR003 Whoopie Cushion "Friends Last Longer" CD $5ppd - "Friends Last Longer" is the debut full length from Long Island pop-punk masters Whoopie Cushion. These boys really knew how to put on a show and they sure could write catchy songs. Check them out on CD now, while this gem is still available. Members went on to start The Goodwill.
CSR004 Sonny "Picturesque" CD $5ppd - This is the first release for Western Mass emo influenced band, Sonny (or Plan B as they were called on this CD). This band has released a full length on Fast Music and a split CD with Modern Day Saint but "Picturesque" is the CD that started it all. Members went on to form Shoot To Kill and Modern Day Saint. Check them out!
CSR006 Nothing Famous "The Yak" CDep $5ppd - Hailing from Upstate New York, Nothing Famous plays tight melodic punk with political and social lyrics. If you are looking for something fast, smart and full of heart - look no further!
CSR007 The Budgets "Here We Go Again" CD $5ppd - A perfect blend of street punk and pop-punk, these songs will force their way into your head and make a home there. The Budgets can easily be compared to Ann Beretta and Rancid but still manage to have a sound all their own.
CSR009 The Prozacs "Monsters Night Out" CD $8ppd - True pop-punk at its best! Hailing from Western Mass, The Prozacs blast through seven of the catchiest songs. Every song on this CD is guaranteed to have you singing along. This CD and this band are for fans of Screeching Weasel and The Queers.
CSR010 V/A "Dispense This!" compilation CD $4ppd - Cheapskate Records new sampler CD. Features a song from each release as well as some unreleased tracks. This is a good way to hear what Cheapskate Records is all about plus it's got PEZ themed artwork!
CSR011 Johnie 3 "S/T" CD $8ppd - Johnie 3 is back with its 2nd full length album! A 25 minute pop punk assault that will have your toes tapping and your girlfriend beggin' for more. No time for stopping between songs kiddies, these boys run 'em back to back ala The Ramones circa 1978! 12 brand new tunes produced by Pete Drivere (Deadboys, Infidels) and mastered by Cliffy Huntington (Huntingtons, Stivs).
CSR012 Rydells "Go Mental" CD $8ppd - The Rydells hail from NH and play Ramones influenced pop-punk. "Go Mental" was recorded at the Electric Cave (The Queers) in Portsmouth, NH and features guitar work by Chris Lamy (The Jabbers) and artwork by B-Face (The Queers, Groovie Ghoulies, The Mopes).
CSR013 The Prozacs "Live At CBGB" CD $8ppd - Prozacs live at the legendary CBGBs, what more can I say? The Prozacs play all the "hits" here, plus as an extra bonus there are two unreleased studio tracks at the end.
CSR014 The Prozacs/Johnie 3 "We Should Split" CD $8ppd - Two Cheapskate Records' bands have joined forces to bring you one incredible CD. Features 7 brand new songs from each band.
CSR015 The Leftovers "Party Tonight!" CD $8ppd - The Leftovers (from Portland ME) are back with their 3rd CD, their first with Cheapskate and people say its their best stuff yet. "Party Tonight!" is the perfect party album and features Geoff Useless (The Queers, The Guts, The Nobodys, She's A Guy) and Glenn Theory (Glenn Theory & The Portland Allstars). Get a copy today!
CSR017 The Guts "Sometimes You Just Can't Win" CD $8ppd - The Guts (x/current members of The Queers, Nobodys, She's A Guy, Regulars) are back after a brief slumber with a new CD! "Sometimes You Just Can't Win" consists of 6 brand new tunes, tracks off of their 3 out of print CDs, and demo's/out-takes. 33 songs in all.
CSR018 The Prozacs "Pieces" 7" $4ppd - The Prozacs are back with 3 brand new songs on Cheapskate Records first actual record. 1 song that will be on their upcoming album "Questions, Answers & Things Never Found" and 2 b-sides. Available on white, yellow and black wax.
CSR019 The Prozacs "Questions, Answers & Things Never Found" CD $8ppd - The long awaited new full length from the Prozacs. 16 brand new songs dealing with love, lost and new beginnings. The Prozacs at their best!
CSR023 The Granprixx "Prixxology" CD $8ppd - It's finally here - the long awaited discography CD of Western Mass ultra-fast pop-punk The Grandprixx. This was Jay Prozac's band before The Prozacs. 'Prixx released a whole slew of records and now they are compiled onto one CD along with their original demo, un-released tracks, and compilation tracks. 42 tracks in all!
CSR025 The Fake Boys "Pop Punk Is Dead" CD $8ppd - The Fake Boys are back with a brand new 8 song attack! This is pop-punk but with a harder edge. For fans of The Descendents, Jawbreaker and The Replacements.
CSR026 The Mcrackins "Eggzit" CD $8ppd - A brand new disc from these Canadian pop-punk legends. 10 brand spanking new, insanely catchy tunes! What can I say this CD is eggscellent! Order a copy today!
CSR027 The Lanterns "Postcard Picture" CD $6ppd - Portsmouth NH's own The Lanterns return with a six song EP that mixes power pop, punk, country and good old fashioned rock n roll into one nice package.
CSR028 The Popsters "Our Bites Bring You Back" CD $8ppd/LP $10ppd - The Popsters are back with another great album. "Our Bites Bring You Back" contains 9 catchy tunes that will have you dancing and singing along! Think The Descendents mixed with The Parasites, Ramones and Big Drill Car with Italian accents CD
LP
CSR029 The Prozacs "Playing The Chords We Love" CD $8ppd - The Prozacs have returned with their 3rd full length album. On "Playing The Chords We Love" The Prozacs get back to their roots with a straight up 3 chord pop-punk album similar to their debut "Thanks For Nothing." If you are already a Prozacs fan you will love this album! Get it now!
