About Me

I write songs about: People, their emotions, attitudes and episodes in their lives.I do not write songs about: My soul in torment.Over the last ten years I have recorded 3 CDs, played gigs with the likes of Clive Gregson, Jez Lowe, Hank Wangford, The Arlenes, Kirsty McGee, Pete Morton and Rory MacLeod, all over the South and South-East (and beyond). Probably my most treasured memento of any of them is the Certificate of Marriage and Divorce I was presented with by Hank Wangford.

Sounds Like: ".....Richard Thompson with the lyrical sensibilities of Loudon Wainwright. I'm also reminded of John Prine and Boo Hewerdine. "In Your Own Words" and "The One That Got Away" are classics of their genre, akin to Thompson's "Beeswing" "Rock'N'Reel/R2, Sept/Oct 2009"......the same smart balance of humour and seriousness that gave Tom Waits, John Prine and Randy Newman their legendary status."Maverick, April 2007".....humour and wry observation that will warm the hearts of more than a few."Songbook, July 2006

Forward, tho I canna see
