About Me

The Really Short Version: Songs about girls, from West London.
The Short Version: I started writing and recording songs here in West London in 1997. We revived an old school band called The Odd Hits (the name comes from “Hamlet”, Act V scene ii). In 1998 Mark Gifford joined us on drums and in 1999 Cono Cirone, from Hackettstown New Jersey, became our bass player. We went over to New York City and New Jersey a few times to rehearse and play. Cono came over to London and we recorded 2 self-financed albums (in 1999 and 2001) at Tin Pan Alley Studios, Denmark Street, with Steve Kent producing.
The Odd Hits came to an end in 2001. I've recorded a few more things with Steve Kent since then, solo and with my brother Jim. Cono’s doing his own thing back in Hackettstown. Mark divides his time between Coventry, Birmingham and Gloucestershire, and doesn’t play the drums anywhere near enough. We rehearsed in the autumn of 2007 in the hope of playing again soon, but here we are in the middle of 2009, wondering what happened to all the months in between.
The Long Version: There's a much longer version on my Blog.
