Des..President, Ownder, ProducerIt was 1999, I got my first mpc says Des. After that
I basically had to hustle while in school to get the
dough I needed for more gear. The passion was there,
so was the talent and drive but no money. A born
hustler, Des worked out a deal with a teacher to lease
some gear. After getting the tools, he ditched school
to focus full time on his beats and engineering.
Although the search was not as easy as he had hoped he
landed an internship at Waltz Audio in Boston, MA.
It would not take the hustler long to transform
that platform into a showcase for his own beats.
Inside of a year he had successfully sold over 40
beats, some to established artists. He was able to
then leave the internship to focus on production for
artists.
Ever since then, Des has been floating back and
forth from California, Boston and New York. With
homes in both Boston and California his sound has been
crafted with a larger appeal and more universal sound
than many producers stuck in thier surroundings.
His list of accomplishments reads as a who's who
of hip hop and his work with up and coming artists
shows Des's ability to recognize talent and help shape
it.
" Classic tracks dog, that's what I want to make,
the type of song where the instrumental can stand on
it's own and make the listener still break they neck
when rocking it."
The future of hip hop is unknown, but Beatclock's
future is more than secure with Des at the helm.
