October 2007 saw the release of Shake’s debut EP ‘Love Songs for the Heartless’. Recorded and Produced by Lamar Lowder (Powerman 5000 and founder/drummer/songwriter/producer of JERK), Love Songs for the Heartless has attracted growing interest after the EP’s pre-release single ‘Weak Boy Chorus’ was featured on US label Van Demon Records, 2006 compilation CD and Jessie ‘the Devil’ Hughes, lead singer of the Eagles of Death Metal’ rated the opening track of the EP ‘Queen of the Scene’ as his number 1 pick in the Triple J Unearthed Eagles of Death Metal Competition in 2007.
Under the guidance of music industry veteran, Richard Cartwright, who has been advising in an A&R capacity throughout 2007, SHAKE! have continued to refine all elements of their craft believing that the music does not exist in isolation, it is inseparable from a theatrical live performance and the characters which dominate their graphic art.
