Brian Ortega takes you on a journey at night. He drops the rhythm unlike any other, one that pulsates through the speakers and blasts a sound that you will never forget. That is the musical experience of Brian Ortega.Born of Ecuadorian decent Brian has been exposed to many different musical styles and elements which can be heard in many of his sets today. Brian’s passion of music began at the tender age of 7 while watching his cousin John Carlos try to develop his musical craft. Seeing Carlo’s determination sparked a curiosity and provoked Brian’s own desire for music. It was around this time that Brian was highly exposed to the Electronic Dance Music scene, the result, was a further awakening and desire to explore the different sounds of music.Fast forward another 7 years from there and Brian already had several of his creations showcased on the radio. Kiss 92 FM was the first station to get a taste of the works of Brian Ortega. Half a decade rolled along and Brian discovered something that would change his relationship with Electronic Dance Music for the long run. Brian discovered the sounds of Tribal and Progressive house which opened his eyes and ears in ways he could never imagine.It was at that point that he fell in love with the sounds of percussion. As time passed Brian started experimenting on the ones and twos by kicking it up a knotch and becoming more involved and serious about his craft. Since then Brian has been featured on Energy 105 FM (Toronto) and Cool FM 98.9 (Aruba). Brian has also been a resident DJ at Drop Zone, D2, Room 19, and is currently a residential DJ at the very prestigious Club V. He has also made several cameos at Red Square, Epose, Mad Bar Club 338, and Chino Bar. There is no doubt that Toronto has welcomed Brian Ortega’s musical talent in a very warm way.Over the past two years Brian has been developing his craft even further by looking at producing with potential labels looking to release his music. As already evident, Brian Ortega has accomplished a lot; therefore it comes as no surprise that Brian has achieved his long time goal to begin touring internationally. Dreams really do come true, and with the musical talent, ambition and perseverance which define Brian Ortega as an artist, expect to see big things to come from him in the future.
