Twinky was born Ryan Harms in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. At the age of seven his family moved to Colorado Springs, where he lives currently. Twinky first listened to rap music during the summer of 1997 to the group, Bone Thugs. However, he really didn't start becoming an avid follower of the hip-hop genre until three years later shortly before the release of Eminem's second LP, "Marshal Mathers LP."
Shortly after, his life started to change he was slowly becoming depressed. Finally, while on the brink of suicide, he was diagnosed as clinicly being depressed. During this time, his only way to let out his frustrations was by writing poetry. However, this poetry was merely lyrics and odes. A year later, he first dipped his hands into producing hip-hop instrumentals and beats. Another year past him by and he decided to put all of his talents to the test and start recording his songs. Two months later, he began working on his first album, "Mugshot." The album was almost entirely all of his works put together. Twinky produced, mixed, edited, and wrote nearly every song.
It took him over a year, mostly due to procrastination. However, Twinky did put out a second LP, "Resurrect Me." Though Twinky feels that the CD was leaps on bounds over his first, it still didn't come out quite the way he wanted it to.
Currently, Twinky is slowly but surely making a third, "The Face of Rejection." However, it will more than likely not go anywhere past his own thoughts. All that is known about this album is that it would be a true conceptual album. What story it's going to tell is still unclear.
