The Prophetic Purpose defined: “Therefore I have declared things to come to you from of old; before they came to pass I announced them to you… You have heard these things foretold, now you see their fulfillment. And will you not bear witness to it? I show you specified new things from this time forth, even hidden things (kept in reserve), which you have not known. They are created now (called into being by the prophetic word), and not long ago; and before today you have not heard of them…†(Isaiah 48:5-7 Amplified). ****************************************************** A) WHAT IS PROPHECY? We could say that prophecy is the expressed thoughts of God spoken in a language that no man in his natural gift of speech could ever articulate. The substance and nature of prophecy exceeds the limits of what the natural mind could conceive. (Gods thoughts are not mans thoughts. Isa. 55:8). The gift of prophecy comes through the mouth of man but it comes from the mind of God- spiritual thoughts in spiritual words. I Cor. 2:9-16 Prophecy is God communicating His will by word (sometimes by action) through chosen persons. It includes whatever God desires to say about past, present, and future. Some have inclined to confine it to the future, but this is inaccurate. ******************************************************A) WHAT IS THE PROPHETIC? A working definition of the prophetic ministry is as follows: (1.)They speak the Word of the Lord in the Name of the Lord. (2.) They carry weight by virtue of the ethical, moral and spiritual urgency in their message. (3.) They are prophetic, not by birth or official designation, but by the power of their inner call and the response of their hearers. (4.) The single most characteristic mark of true prophetic people is the evidence that they have stood in the counsel of Jehovah and has, thereby, faithfully declared what they have heard from His mouth. (6.) They are primarily concerned not with the distant future, but to tell forth the will of God in the crisis of their own days. They are then essentially, interpreters of God. (7.) Their major task - Old Testament and New - was to declare that in Christ all the prophecies were foreshadowed and fulfilled: Acts 3:24, I Pet. 1:10-11, Rev. 19:10THE PURPOSE- of both the Prophet and the Seer is to reveal the glorious wonders of Jesus the Messiah, God's purpose in: ,a generation, eternity, heaven and hell, and the Father's great presence. The "Seer" is the receptive dimension and the "Prophet" is the communicative dimension. ******************************************************A. THE PROPHET- God placed that word in the mouth of the prophets, and they in turn declared it unto the people...we conclude then, that upon the basis of Old Testament usage, the Prophet was a speaker who declared the word that God had given him. â€A True Prophetâ€: (1.) Often uses plurality of eldership or seasoned, gifted individuals (men and women) with the "laying on of hands" to minister. (2.) Will utilize giftings of tongues and interpretation of tongues. (3.) Spontaneous, faster flow with inspiration being the tone. (4). Often "hears" and repeats as spoken to (5.) Steps out to prophesy according to his portion of faith. (6.) The prophetic presbytery is a common approach. ******************************************************B. THE SEER- Seers operating in dreams and visions. â€A True Seerâ€: (1.) Tends to be more single in ministry versus the plurality of a team. (2.) Emphasizes visions and the revelatory gifts versus the audible, speaking gifts. (3.) Often operates at a slower pace due to describing pictures in their own words. (4.) Is dependent upon the angelic and the manifested presence of God. (5.) These prophetic vessels appear to have limitations until they sense the anointing. (6.) Often gets information ahead of time and tells it later.

As officers of the Church, apostles legislate. They issue orders and Kingdom decrees for the Church. (P.)TO EXECUTE the plans and purposes of God- to fulfill the Great Commission. (Q.)TO DEFEND. Apostles are defenders of the faith. They defend the truth. They defend the Church from outside attacks and infiltration by the enemy. (R.)TO OVERSEE. The apostolate is also called a “bishoprick†(see Acts 1:20, KJV). To be a bishop means to oversee. Apostles oversee churches. (S.)TO INVADE- This is a militaristic mantle. They have the ability to penetrate hostile environment with the message of the Kingdom. (T.)TO WAR. Apostles are territorial warriors. They are spiritual commanders of the highest rank.(U.)TO ENFORCE- They enforce Kingdom conduct, holiness and biblical standards of righteousness. (V.)TO CONVERT. Apostles convert people to the laws and culture of the Kingdom. They turn people from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God. (W.)TO TRAIN- and educate ministers. They develop leadership. (X.)TO ORDAIN. Apostles ordain and set in place qualified leadership.(Y.)TO CONFRONT- false teaching, witchcraft, immorality, anything that will keep the Church from fulfilling its purpose. The apostolic anointing is a confrontational anointing. (Z.)TO FINISH.
