My name is ERiC ARDeN.
I'm best known for my Singing, Guitar Playing, and Song Writing, but I also make Films, Cartoons, and dabble with Stand-Up Comedy.
I come from a small town in Upstate New York called Utica. Pretty shitty there, probably why I moved. Anyway, Now I live in Portland, OR. 3,000 miles from my friends and family in a world that at times is different than my own. Overall its WAY better here I'm glad I moved.
I'm married and have a daughter by the name of Haley. To be honest I wasn't sure how I would feel once we had her, everyone was telling me horror stories of babies and to be honest its not bad at all. Of course I also have a great wife to help me in that department. I do what I can but with me working the job I work its hard for me to do that much, so Leah does most of that honestly, but I LOVE MY DAUGHTER with all my heart. After a long day of people being assholes to me and your bone marrow deteriorating I just want to come home to my wife and kid and just hug and kiss them both. Its a simple joy but its the best I've had. I didn't think anything could be as good as the stage, but I was wrong.
Leah my beautiful wife how I adore her and fight for her everyday. I fight to get up every morning, I fight to not be in pain at work. I fight just to keep her happy. I should start a fight-club. Its all about compromise and understanding. Sometimes that advice we thought was stupid from our parents turns out to be the best advice, we just didn't know it until it started to apply to us. Hell look at me I'm a daddy!!! YEE HA!!!
People think I'm full of shit half the time. I can see where they are coming from though, why would a guy with a 4.0 college degree, is a moderately successful musician, with a high IQ be working in a warehouse???? I ask myself that everyday. WFT?! If someone thinks I'm proud or happy about it they are wrong. I seem like a happy guy but I'm far from it when it comes to my career. Going to college fucked me over BIG TIME!!! Don't go unless you are going for you know you want to do, and don't go for something that's creative. No one will hire me for what I went to college for, I'm to goofy looking for office work, and I can fake being healthy to work in a warehouse.....soooooo.....to feed my kid and wife I chose the warehouse. If you want to call me an asshole or lazy ass for that go ahead. GOD DAMN COLLEGE!!! Eh, I guess now all I can do is save up my money and start my business like planned and hire some good friends that are better than this job. Oh snap! All my friends are in NY!!! FUCK!!!!
