Ingemar Låås is a saxophone player from Sweden who been an active funk, jazz and pop musician for over 20 years now, and he has worked with a lot of swedens most popular artists. After many years with bands on club stages Ingemar longed for something fresh and found House music as a new way for him to use his skills in improvisation and to still his hunger for new musical playmates.
2005 Ingemar got his first job with a House Dj in Sälen, one of Swedens popular Ski-resorts. After that gig he started on regular bases work with different Swedish Djs at Peacook dinner club and Park Lane in Gothenborg. And soon he and his Alto sax appered with Djs at clubs, partys and Fashion shows all over Sweden.Since then Ingemar played at clubs like NASA (Copenhagen),Ambassaduer, Café Opera, Whiteroom , Collage, Sturecompagniet (sthlm) Saluhallen Uppsala, Åpenbar, Hammertson, Nicole & son (Oslo), Bliss, Push, Nivå, Berså (Gbg)... And done gigs with djs like Eddie Cabrera, Rogerio Lopez (FRA), Henrik B, Michael Wermeetz, Don Tomaso, Dj Agurré,Dj Phaxx and Darwin & Backwall, Ingemar got very interested in mixing livesax with harder and more electronic house/tecno music.During 2008 Ingemar started work with Head Kandi and became official saxoplayer of Hedkandi scandinavia. Dj Wez Clark, Dj Jim Breese, Dj Andrew Daniels and MC Choral (Hedkandi UK) are some of ingemars new mates at those events.Ingemar first job in 2009 was a gig at the Swedish Grammy awards with a group of House Djs, dancers and musicians called "Housetåget" at Berns Salonger in Stockholm. And 30 of april he played for 7000 people at the Ministry of sound party in Malmö with the DJs Darwin & Backwall and DJ Norman Doray (FRA)Ingemar is a expressional musican with a greate sence of how to performe, fit in to and take modern house (live)music to a higher level. And probleby thats some of the reasons why Ingemar is one of the most popular house-saxo guys in Skandinavia.
