Growing up in New York State, Yobi always had a passion for writing and performing and modeling.
After graduating college, Yobi landed a job at Interscope Records at Universal, working in their promotions department. While there, she worked closely with notable artists such as, G-Unit, Rich Boy, Robin Thicke, and many more. For many years, she wrote all of her own music getting her start from writing poetry. Her signature style was to take a raw hip hop beat and turn it into an r&b song so that when you listen to the first 5 seconds of the track, you didn’t know whether she would sing or rap! Yobi has a huge voice and when you hear her, it’s Christina Aguilera meets Christina Milain. The sky is the limit for her.
She started modeling when approached by a local modeling agency looking for new faces based in Long Island, NY. She then covered Good Morning Americas Fashion show, Black Expo NYC, Upper Division Car Show, Low Gravity Car Show as well as various university fashion shows.
After attending an open call for Streetology Production's Inc. in February of 2008, Yobi was hired to be the company's celebrity correspondent. Her role with Streetology Production's Inc. puts her in charge of representing the owners at red carpet events, hosting any events that the company sponsors and interviewing artists for Streetology Production's Inc's new broadcast website, Streetology1 Network.
Since working for Streetology Production's Inc. Yobi has covered the 2008 Winter Music Conference in Miami as well as the 2008 Dance Music Awards. She has also worked the red carpet for Ralph McDaniel's 25th anniversary for Video Music Box and went to LA to cover the new video for R&B singer Joe, "Why Just Be Friends" which is currently airing on BET. Some of the artists that Yobi has interviewed for Streetology's network include, American Idol Alum, Blake Lewis, The Retro Kidz, R&B singer Avant, Deal or No Deal model Claudia Jordan, The Dogg Pound Family rapper Kurupt and more.
Yobi currently resides in Brooklyn and upstate New York and is working hard on a project with group member Jillian Valentin titled "Fame Is The Best Revenge."
