I'm a 46 year old English bloke with a passion for: Jesus; Gill my beautiful wife; our 4 slightly mad offspring; social justice; people; live music; discovering new bands; Crystal Palace Football Club; real ale; spicy food; Latin America; and living life to the full. As a family we recently lived in Venezuela for 3 months where we soaked up the culture, enjoyed the weather, visited various social projects and campaigned for the re-election of President Hugo Chavez. We run a website called Take the Red Pill which covers issues as diverse as music, politics, football, spirituality and culture. The travelog section carries the story of our time in Merida, Venezuela. In the mod revival of 1979, I produced a fanzine called roadrunner and released Plane Crash by the Purple Hearts on my label Roadrunner Records. Also drummed in a band called the Distant Echo and followed bands like the Jam, the Chords, Secret Affair, Nine Below Zero and the Step. I still have my parka.....My particular dislikes are the people or systems which harm the poor or our environment.
