About Me

Digi-Tec Records was established in early 1988 by Gary (Digi) Lewis. Gary's aim was to give new artist a platform in which to show people what they could do whilst making a name for themselves and gaining valuable knowledge and experience of working with some foundation artists himself. In late 1988 Gary was introduced to Horseman, first known with his hit "Horsemove" on Raiders label, but following this hit had not done anything for a while.
Gary and Horseman came up with the hit tune "Follow Me" which did extremely well in dancehalls and house parties up and down the UK. "Follow Me" reached number 3 in the national reggae charts.
Gary had a few more outings on the Digi-Tec Label with new artist like Blue Bird, with a track called "Borrow Man", Donnett Williams and Aston Esson with a track called "You're the one for me".
Gary was side tracked from the label while building his sound system Digi-Tec Sounds, and the label lay quiet for quite awhile. In 2003 Gary decided it was time to bring the label back out and called long time friend and artist Andrew Sloley, who he met when he first started the Digi-Tec label. Plans were made through discussion to revive the Digi-Tec label out and get it out again.
Gary had written a song for Andrew called "Pretty Little Brown Skin Girl" this track opened a lot of doors for Digi-Tec. Since then Gary through the Digi-Tec label have gone from strength to strength recording at Mafia & Fluxy Studio, Progressive Sounds Studio with Patrick Donagon and well known keyboard player Bubblers. at his studio and has recorded with many artist who include Lloyd Brown, JC Lodge, Michael Gordon, Leroy Simmonds, Winston Reedy and Glen Sloley.
Gary now works out of his own studio, "Digi-Tec" Studio and has teamed up with UK Homegrown label and "UK-Home-Grown-Music studio.
Gary is soon to release on Digi-Tec Record the album "Head to Head Volume 1" consisting of 20 tracks 10 from Winston Reedy and 10 from Andrew Sloley going head to head, riding riddims. As the title suggests and getting great reviews, so check it out!!
Previously released on the Digi-Tec label was "Digi-Tec Presents Volume 1" featuring Lloyd Brown, Winston Reedy, Michael Gordon plus many more.
Gary's new and additional interest is in DJing live on internet radio and has recently joined Ramjamradio.com after gaining a taste for radio presenting with another internet station. You can catch Gary Digi-tec's live show on "http://www.ramjamradio.com/ on Saturdays from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm (GMT) with The Saturday Jam Session.
