..The Mission and Purpose: To rescue unwanted threads circa early 90s that have yet to discover their potential and bring about a new life with a bold 21st century approach. With so many disposable clothing retailers today, it’s no surprise that if every store closed its doors no one would go bare. In fact, many second-hand stores actually turn down clothing donations because there is simply TOO MUCH. Clothes then end up either dumped in landfills or overseas. Vintage stores pay off big thrift stores to “cherry pick†their goods for the best finds and then make their business with huge markups. The goal is to resuscitate finds like day-glow nylon and French terry and reinvent them for tomorrow’s trends. So there isn’t a need for brand spankin’ new clothes, but there is always an urge for newness - lets bring back some classics and reinvent them. And so the rescue mission begins!
