OXJAM is Oxfam's, most ambitious music event ever. We're asking musicians, promoters - in fact, everyone - to put on all kinds of music events during October 2007 to raise money for Oxfam. And we need your help to make it happen!
Oxfam is looking for talented, inspiring and outgoing music-lovers to become volunteer Music Event Organisers for Oxjam 2007. The OXJAM team will give you all the support you need, with great materials and online help too.
Volunteers will be expected to raise between £750 and £1000 by setting up events in their area. In return, they get training in events organisation, 1:1 support, materials, and a reference from Oxfam.
If you've got what it takes to organise an OXJAM event, whether your passion is for classical music or club nights; folk, funk or punk, we'd love to hear from you. You'll gain valuable experience, meet new people, get involved with our local music scene and have a great time while helping to raise loads of money and learning more about Oxfam's work to end poverty. If you would like to organise an OXJAM event, please drop us an email at the address below and be sure to visit www.oxfam.org.uk/oxjam to download your free OXJAM toolkit.
If you are a promoter and you already have gigs booked in Brighton for October then why not make your event an OXJAM event and be part of the UK's biggest music festival and help end poverty and suffering at the same time?
We are looking for bands, musicians and DJ's who are interested in playing at an OXJAM event. If you fancy getting involved then please drop us an email. Bands and acts of all sizes and genre are welcome. If you know anyone that may be interested in performing or you would like to recommend a local band then email us.
