Geisha Hit Squad

About Me

Geisha Hit Squad is the latest project of Atlanta Musician Eric Jennings. It's the umbrella under which he stands to express himself musically in many ways, shapes and forms. For the time being it's mainly been an acoustic genre, a total opposite direction from Atlanta power trio Black Light District, which he is still proud and grateful to have been a member of.
For the time being Eric's been accompanied on the road and locally by good friend and awesome musician Nathan Sexton. They played Raleigh,Greenville, and Eastern NC area twice this year in May and October. They've also been playing Atlanta area alot while playing Athens and Savannah, Ga.
Chris Goode of North Carolina Band Dillion Fence has been playing Bass for the Atlanta based shows while lending his den as the sunday afternoon practice space.
"A Stolen Moment", the debut 5 song cd released in May '09's now available for purchase. Two of the songs, which are Centerbound and Denalia were co written with former BLDistrict bandmates Randy Dalton(drums) and David Stich(bass). Immediate plans consist of heading back into the studio to do another cd. Some songs will be familiar and some will be a surprise. The songwriting will be more form a band point of view.
Bryan Midgette, former manager of The Jumpstarts and Mandorico had this to say:
“ ERIC JENNINGS (UNDER THE MONIKER "GEISHA HIT SQUAD") IS A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH.  THE MUSIC EMANATING FROM THIS POWERFUL ATLANTA SINGER/SONGWRITER GOES STRAIGHT FOR THE JUGULAR AND TAKES THE AUDIENCE ALONG AN EMOTIONAL JOURNEY OF SELF-REFLECTION.      WHETHER PERFORMING SOLO IN AN INTIMATE SETTING OR WITH A BACKING BAND FROM THE STAGE OF A ROCK CLUB OR FESTIVAL, ELECTRIC OR ACOUSTIC, THE MUSIC OF GEISHA HIT SQUAD IS EQUALLY EVOCATIVE.   IN A TIME WHEN THE COLLECTIVE CONSCIOUSNESS NEEDS A "GUT CHECK", GEISHA HIT SQUAD'S SOUL STIRRING LYRICS BACKED BY VIRTUOSO GUITAR CHALLENGE THE LISTENER WITH VIVID IMAGERY OF LIFE, LOVE, & INTROSPECTION WHILE CELEBRATING THE SPIRIT OF THE HUMAN HEART.”
