About Me

Plain MySpace Layouts by Iron Spider
Felix started collecting vinyl as a teenager and in 1988 started DJ’ing in Chelmsford, Essex, playing everything from Acid to Dexys Midnight Runners. He had already developed a love of Soul Music greats with his first love being the Street Sounds Compilation, and then progressed into making music, forming two Rap bands “A414 Massiv” and “Congress” with local friends. 1992 he was Signed to Hooj Choons for his 1st release” Don’t You Want Me,” which was soon licensed by Deconstruction, then signed an album deal. “Don’t You Want Me” became a No 1 hit throughout the world, reached No 2 in the UK Charts. “Don’t You Want Me” also became the third biggest selling single in Europe and won Dance Record of the year at the DMC Music Awards. The next Single “It Will Make Me Crazy,” again became a No 1 hit throughout Europe and reached No 12 in the UK charts and it also won Best Dance Video at the Sol Music Awards. “He became a massive but faceless star all on the strength of two singles: ‘Don’t You Want Me’ and ‘It will Make Me Crazy’, which sold over 3 million worldwide. Deconstruction fully supported the anti publicity stance…..believing in letting the music speak for itself. In 1993 he recorded a Album with Producer Mark 'Blakkat' Bell/Shaboom Records this became a lasting relationship. Single “Stars,” a cover of Sylvester released. Reached No 22 in UK. In 1995 he began working with underground DJ Kenny C under the name Partycrashers. The music was clearly influenced by US House or Jack from labels such as Strictly Rhythm, Cajual, Dancemania and Relief. Felix was then signed to Detroit label Acacia. Partycrashers remixed work with artists such as Nicolette and Kym Mazelle, with Armand Van Helden being a particular fan of Minty’s ‘Plastic bag’. In 1996 he co-Wrote and produced a single with Nicolette for her Album on Talking Loud. Included on the compilation Rebirth of Cool and described as “A Twisted Classic” by Patrick Forge.Fuelled by his teenage influences he began producing and writing Soul and R&B, and now is currently working on some new refreshing projects this year, so watch this space for new releases….
